USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) transits through the Suez Canal. The 100-mile Suez Canal connects the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. The nuclear powered aircraft carrier is currently underway on a regularly scheduled deployment supporting maritime security operations.
