Founder, United Hatzalah of Israel
A longtime medical volunteer, in 2006, following the Second Lebanon War, Beer helped establish United Hatzalah, an independent, non-profit, fully volunteer emergency medical services organization that provides fast and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. Beer was the recipient of the World Economic Forum Social Entrepreneur award for Israel in 2010 and was invited to speak at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, in January 2012. In addition, Beer accepted the Presidential Award for Volunteerism in Israel on behalf of United Hatzalah.
