A New Jersey dad fighting for the right to visit his youngest son didn’t help his cause when he appeared in court dressed in Nazi garb on Monday.
But then again it should come as no surprise that Heath Campbell, 40, would do such a thing. He initially gained national attention in 2008 when a store refused to put the name of his son, “Adolf Hitler,” on a birthday cake.
In 2011 his four children were placed in foster care after alleged violence and neglect in the family home. Campbell and his wife became estranged, but he denies any wrongdoing.
“I’m going to tell the judge, I love my children. I want to be a father, let me be it,” Campbell told NBC10 outside court.
“Let me prove to the world that I am a good father.”
According to the report, Campbell has been wearing his Nazi getup, including swastika patches, arm bands and a moustache since forming a hate group named “Hitler’s Order” a year ago.
“I’m going to keep fighting,” Campbell said. “I don’t care if it kills me. I love them,” Campbell said.
“I’ve never abused my children, I only name my children and I don’t think it’s right anymore.”
