Two explosive devices detonated near the Israel Defense Force’s Golani Brigade installations, along the border with the Gaza Strip Monday, Israel’s Channel 2 reported, citing the IDF.
An IDF Armored Caterpillar D9 military bulldozer uncovered the bombs, which then detonated, but neither the driver nor anyone nearby was injured by the blast. IDF installations near Sufa, in the southern Gaza Strip, were targeted by similar devices on Friday. No injuries were reported in the earlier incident as well.
The Israeli Armored CAT D9 — nicknamed Doobi (Hebrew for “teddy bear”) — is a modified Caterpillar D9 armored bulldozer enhanced by the Israel Defense Forces, Israeli Military Industries and Israel Aerospace Industries to make the bulldozer suitable for operating in hostile environments.
