Photo of ‘Rabbi Robin’ Williams in Yarmulka Delights Twitter Fans (PHOTO)

A photo of legendary actor and comedian Robin Williams donning a yarmulka had Twitter fans lobbying in favor of a new career in the rabbinate for the Hollywood icon.
In the image, The Crazy Ones star is seen smiling at the camera as his co-star, Amanda Setton, places the Jewish skullcap on his head. Williams, who is not Jewish, captioned the shot, “Too late for a career change? Rabbi Robin?”
His Twitter followers loved the idea. One user wrote, “Never to late Rabbi Williams.” Other comments included “Mazel tov, Rabbi Robin” and “oh hello rabbi.”
Williams’ donning of the religious headgear may have been connected to Thursday’s episode of The Crazy Ones in which his character, Simon Roberts, helps plan a bar mitzvah for guest star Cheryl Hines’ son. His character’s ad agency’s attempt to woo Hines as a client turns into a commitment to throw the celebration of a lifetime for her child.
The Crazy Ones, currently in its first season, airs Thursday nights on CBS.
