YNet – The Iron Dome system intercepted a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip aimed at Beersheba on Saturday which saw a major rocket assault mounted on Israel. But in other parts of the country which once received protection, many asked – where was Iron Dome?
Ashdod Mayor Yehiel Lasri said: “As far as we are aware the system was taken for calibration. We were told we would get the system back in the coming days.” The IDF cited technical problems when trying to explain why the rockets were not intercepted.
