Washington Post – A super PAC supporting Marco Rubio for president unveiled a scathing new TV ad campaign Tuesday that portrays Republican presidential rival Ted Cruz as a flip-flopper and calls attention to his Canadian birth.
The new ads from Conservative Solutions PAC mostly echo the attacks Rubio has used against Cruz in recent weeks, though Rubio has said Cruz’s birthplace is not an issue. They come as Rubio, a Florida senator, trails the Texas senator in Iowa with under two weeks to go until the caucuses and is trying to make up ground there.
