Eviatar Matania, Israel’s top cybersecurity official, said this past year that the nation had launched a comprehensive strategy to prevent increasingly sophisticated computer attacks. He also warned that Iran and terror groups are poised to expand their capabilities in the near future.
As the head of the Israel National Cyber Bureau, Matania draws upon his diverse experience in military and civilian research and development. He has co-edited a book on Israeli start-ups and taught venture capital courses in distinguished executive MBA programs.
He also has worked toward furthering U.S.-Israel ties and recently signed a joint statement reaffirming the two nations’ commitment to promote cooperation and information-sharing on cybersecurity and cyber research and development.
