Politico – Badly trailing Hillary Clinton in delegates and the popular vote despite his eight-of-nine winning streak, Bernie Sanders needed a dramatic moment in New York on Tuesday night to shake up the Democratic nomination contest before it’s simply too late.
Instead, it was Clinton who delivered the statement with a decisive win in her home state. With 90 precincts reporting, she led 58 to 42 percent, and was declared the winner by The Associated Press.
