JNS.org – An Israeli court on Monday charged seven Israelis with committing crimes against Palestinians, including the torching of cars and homes.
The charges — which include weapons possession, assault, and arson — relate to several of the so-called “price tag” attacks carried out by Jewish extremists.
The new charges come just a week after after an Israeli military court charged Sgt. Elor Azaria, the 20-year-old Israel Defense Forces soldier who shot a neutralized Palestinian terrorist in Hebron last month, with manslaughter.
Meanwhile, a public opinion poll released Monday by the Jerusalem Media and Communications Center showed that a majority of Palestinian respondents (56.2 percent) support the continuation of stabbing attacks against Israeli Jews.
On Sunday, Israel released 12-year-old Dima Al-Wawi, the youngest female prisoner held in the Jewish state, after she had been arrested for planning a stabbing attack against Jewish Israelis in Hebron. Al-Wawi was sentenced for four and a half months in prison, but she was released after two and half months, the Jerusalem Post reported.
