Two Israelis were wounded in a Palestinian stabbing attack in Netanya on Thursday evening, the Hebrew media reported.
In the two-pronged attack, which took place in the area of the open-air market in the coastal city, a 45-year-old man was left in critical condition and a 60-year-old woman in moderate condition, after the terrorist — from the Palestinian town of Tulkarm — first attacked the man in the street and then chased the woman into a hair salon and stabbed her there.
The terrorist was shot and killed by a member of Israel’s security forces, while his victims were treated at the scene by paramedics and evacuated to Netanya’s Laniado Hospital.
According to Israel’s Channel 2, security forces are scouring the area for a possible accomplice who may have fled in a vehicle.
This was the second terrorist attack in Israel on Thursday. In the morning, as The Algemeiner reported, a 13-year-old Kiryat Arba girl was stabbed to death in her bedroom by a 19-year-old Palestinian from the nearby town of Bani Naim.
