JNS.org – The leader of the United Kingdom’s Labour party Jeremy Corbyn visited the site of the Theresienstadt concentration camp in the Czech Republic earlier this week, while on a trip to continental Europe to meet with left-wing political leaders.
Corbyn tweeted pictures of himself at the former death camp:

In an interview before the visit, Corbyn called the memorial a “vital reminder of the genocidal crimes carried out during the Second World War and the dangers that far-right politics, antisemitism, and racist scapegoating pose to society,” The Independent reported.
“We must never forget the horrific crimes perpetrated by the racist, far-right Nazi regime in Europe and the justice of the struggle waged by the Allied forces and the anti-fascist resistance against it,” he said. “It is an obligation for all of us to work together to build a world of respect, tolerance, and peace.”
Corbyn has been plagued by allegations of personal antisemitism and affiliations with terrorist-sympathizers, as well as failing to aggressively address party-wide Jew-hatred and anti-Israel sentiment.
A British parliamentary committee report in October said that Corbyn does not fully comprehend “the distinct nature of contemporary antisemitism” and suggested that elements of his party are “institutionally antisemitic.”
