American and Israeli Smart City Companies Announce Partnership

JNS.org – CIVIQ Smartscapes and the IsraLink — smart city technology companies located in the US and Israel, respectively — last week launched an exclusive partnership.
The partnership builds on two years of business collaboration between the companies, and will see Massachusetts-based CIVIQ’s technology deployed throughout the Jewish state.
“Israel has long been recognized for its entrepreneurial spirit, and we are excited to join forces,” said Gerry Burns, president of CIVIQ.
CIVIQ’s “WayPoint” system is touted as the “next generation in transit customer engagement,” providing commuters and city-goers with a “seamless WiFi roaming experience,” free emergency calls, and a tablet interface for directions and public service announcements.
IsraLink is set to conduct demonstrations of the cutting-edge American technology in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem.
“Our shared commitment to connecting people to places and experiences is apparent in this growing partnership,” said Jonathan Jacobovitz, founder and CEO of IsraLink.
