JNS.org – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman referred to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as “the new Hitler of the Middle East” amid an escalating war of words between the regional rivals.
In an interview with The New York Times last week, the crown prince also said Iran’s aggressive expansion in the Middle East must be confronted and expressed strong support for President Donald Trump.
Salman said regarding Khamenei that “we learned from Europe that appeasement doesn’t work. We don’t want the new Hitler in Iran to repeat what happened in Europe in the Middle East.”
Earlier in November, the Israeli Foreign Ministry reportedly instructed its envoys to launch a global diplomatic campaign against Iran and its Lebanese terror proxy Hezbollah, and in support of Saudi Arabia and its allies.
