Kensington Palace Source Says Prince William Not Likely to Follow Ancestors With Jerusalem Tattoo

Britain’s Prince William is not likely to follow in the footsteps of his royal ancestors and get a tattoo in Jerusalem during his visit to Israel next month, a source at Kensington Palace told The Algemeiner on Friday.
Reports published this week highlighted the fact that, in the 19th century, Edward VII, George V and Prince Albert Victor all visited the Razzouk tattoo parlor in the holy city and got a tattoo on their arms depicting five crosses and the three crowns of Jerusalem. Edward VII was a customer in 1862, while on a five-month tour of Egypt and the Ottoman Empire, and brothers George V and Prince Albert Victor stopped by the shop in 1882.
The Kensington Palace source confirmed that Prince Charles did not have a similar tattoo and his oldest son had no intention of getting one either. The insider said about Prince William, “I don’t believe that he’s looking to follow suit.”
Prince William will be the first senior member of Britain’s royal family to make an official visit to Israel. In addition to Jerusalem, the second in line to the throne will tour Tel Aviv and the West Bank city of Ramallah.
