JNS.org – Israeli security services confiscated NIS 43,000 ($11,800) from the home of the terrorist who killed eight Jewish children in a massacre at the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva in Jerusalem in 2008, as part of an effort to combat funding of Palestinian terrorism.
The operation was based on information provided by intelligence services on the family of Alaa Abu Dhein, a resident of the Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber, who was allegedly receiving money from Hamas as a reward for the murders.
According to police, $82,250 in terror funding, as well as vehicles and jewelry, were confiscated from multiple families who received support and payments from terror organizations in 2017.
“Israel Police will not allow monetary support of a terror organization for the families of terrorists who committed severe and murderous attacks,” police said. “The involvement of Jerusalem residents in activity funded by Hamas is a serious offense and constitutes an attempt by the terrorist organization to gain a foothold inside Jerusalem.”
