JNS.org – Three people attempting to bomb Israel’s border with Gaza were killed in an strike undertaken by the Israel Defense Forces on Sunday. They were reported by Hamas to be young teens.
Israel carried out the airstrike on a group of Gazans who were in the process of planting an explosive device on Israel’s border adjacent to southern Gaza, killing the group. Hamas subsequently named the dead terrorists and reported that one of them was 14 years old, and the other two 13.
According to IDF reports, approximately 16,000 Gaza Arabs took part in rioting at five locations along the border on Friday, throwing firebombs, burning tires and throwing rocks at Israeli troops.
On Friday night and Saturday morning, 34 rockets were fired at Israeli civilian communities, 13 of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile-defense system. The remaining rockets fell in open areas, except for two that fell inside Gaza.
Israel responded by attacking 95 military targets belonging to terror groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
