WSJ – Two days after the Swedish government’s innovative Twitter program gained widespread attention, the experiment took a unexpected turn when the woman currently in charge of the account used it to make comments about Jewish and gay people.
Sweden hands over the keys to its Twitter account, @Sweden, to a new citizen each week. This week’s official tweeter, Sonja, who describes herself as a 27-year-old mother in her Twitter bio, began asking questions and making observations that have elicited strong responses, as we noticed this morning.
