A spokesman for Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi is denying that the Egyptian leader sent a letter to Israeli President Shimon Peres recently.
“Everything that was reported in the Israeli media regarding the letter does not correspond to reality,” Yasser Ali said.
The letter in question was posted on Peres’ Facebook page in full and thanks the Israeli president for his note to Morsi just before the holy Muslim month of Ramadan began.
“It was with deep thanks that I received your congratulations on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan,” Morsi’s letter, which was dated July 15th and appears to be written on official letterhead, reads.
