Hours before medical personnel arrived at her home, a Haredi woman in Elad, Israel, delivered her own baby.
The woman went into labor and since her husband was overseas, she decided to perform the birth on her own at 7 a.m. in the morning. After cutting the umbilical chord, the mother placed her newborn child in a blanket.
This story was first reported by Ynet News in Israel.
“After the call we got to her home and found the woman and her baby in good condition,” said one of the paramedics. When we realized that the birth took place three hours earlier, we knew we needed to just move them to the hospital.”
After she was admitted to the Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak, it was revealed that the woman had previous experience in delivering a baby.
