Netflix to Stream Hebrew-Language Series About Childhood Best Friends in Jerusalem

Netflix announced on Tuesday that it will begin streaming next month a Hebrew-language comedy and drama series from Israeli creators Guy Amir and Hanan Savyon.
Amir and Savyon also play the lead roles in the show, called Through Fire and Water in Hebrew. They star as inseparable childhood friends Nisso and Pini who co-own a bar in Jerusalem and are avid fans of the Israeli soccer team Beitar Jerusalem. Their friendship gets tested when they are faced with a variety of obstacles, such as the potential closure of their bar due to financial difficulties.
The show will begin streaming on Netflix on Nov. 9 and will be retitled Bros, according to Deadline.
Produced by Firma Productions and United King Films, the series was filmed in Israel, Georgia, and Ukraine.
Through Fire and Water will join the ranks of many other Hebrew-language shows on Netflix, including Shtisel, Fauda, and When Heroes Fly.
