Howard Grief was born in Montreal , Canada and made aliyah in 1989. He is the author of The Legal Foundation and Borders of Israel under International Law, published in December 2008 by Mazo Publishers, Jerusalem. He formerly served as the adviser on Israel under international law to Professor Yuval Ne'eman when he was the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure in the Yitzhak Shamir Government. He originated the thesis that de jure sovereignty over all of Palestine was devolved upon the Jewish People at the 1920 San Remo Peace Conference, as confirmed in the San Remo Resolution (a term he coined) and the minutes of the Conference. A score of his articles have been published in the Israeli journal, Nativ. He is a retired attorney and notary living in Jerusalem.
