CNN – Two men suspected of planning an attack on a Manhattan synagogue were arrested by New York City police Wednesday night, two law enforcement sources told CNN Thursday.
The men were arrested on a street on the west side of Manhattan, in a sting that was part of an NYPD undercover operation, the two law enforcement sources said.
U.S. Homeland Security officials continue to stress that lone wolves and homegrown terrorists are high on their list of concerns and can be just as dangerous as those with direct ties to al Qaeda or other extremist groups.
