Boston Globe – MANCHESTER, N.H.. — Senator John McCain, who bitterly competed with Mitt Romney before beating him for the 2008 GOP nomination, today endorsed the former Massachusetts governor in his 2012 bid.
The senator from Arizona, winner of the New Hampshire primary in 2000 and 2008, entered with Romney as “Top Gun” theme music blared loudly over the speakers. One song, Romney hopes, is not an omen: “Highway to the Danger Zone.”
