Fatah – the West Bank’s current ruling party – launched their official Facebook page on February 1st. First reported by “Al-Hayat Al-Jadida“, a Palestinian Authority daily newspaper, the page has just under 3,500 members at the time of this article’s publication.
It didn’t take long for the page to spark outrage, as the Facebook page portrays (photo below)the 8 terrorists who killed 11 people in the 1975 bomb attack on the Savoy Hotel in Tel Aviv as heroes. Next to each of the terrorists pictures reads “The heroic Shahid (Martyr)”.
The translation of the Facebook page was provided by Palestinian Media Watch.
