London Anti-Israel “Checkpoint” Pelted With Water Bombs (VIDEO)

A wild scene broke out on the campus of London’s School of Economics on Monday.
A mock checkpoint, designed to replicate Israeli checkpoints for Palestinians, was set up by LSE’s Student’s Union Palestine Society where people wishing to enter the St. Clements Building on campus were asked for identification in order to do so.
Following the establishment of the “checkpoint”, members of the Student’s Union Palestine Society were hit with water balloons, prompting a physical altercation between two men.
After the school’s personnel were able to quell the violence, LSE’s Israel and Palestine Society’s both released statements.
“LSESU Israel Society condemns all violence that was seen today. We do not however, condemn the anger that caused this. Palestine Society are mocking and simplifying the complexities of life in the region,” said Aimee Riese, President of LSESU Israel Society. “LSE students on this campus are victims on both side of this conflict. Jewish and Israeli students should not have feel targeted and intimidated on campus.”
“The LSESU Palestine Society fully condemns the actions of the four students who threw the missiles. The re-enactment and stall by the Palestine Society was completely peaceful, and the reaction of these students is unjustifiable. The actions of the four students presents a threat to the well-being of our societies members who were peacefully re-enacting the daily struggles of Palestinian people,” read a statement from LSESU Palestine Society.
