Prior to his speech to the 13,000 people gathered in Washington for this year’s AIPAC conference, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went to the White House to meet with President Obama on Monday.
The issue of Iran’s nuclear program was front and center, with Mr. Netanyahu telling President Obama, in Iran’s eyes the United States is “big satan”, and Israel is “little satan”.
“Israel must have the ability, always, to defend itself, by itself, against any threat,” Netanyahu said to President Obama in front of reporters at the White House.
On Sunday, President Obama told AIPAC, “there is no doubt anywhere in the world that the United States will insist upon Israel’s right to existence and security.”
