AP/Kimt – IOWA CITY, Iowa — A former kosher slaughterhouse executive convicted of fraud is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to shorten his sentence or order a new trial.
Former Agriprocessors, Inc. vice president Sholom Rubashkin petitioned the court Monday. Justices can either take the case or let stand an appeals court ruling from September that upheld his conviction and 27-year prison term.
