A South African game ranger might have assumed that the arrival of ‘the Messiah’ was imminent after witnessing what appeared to be the fulfillment of a biblical prophesy according to the Daily Mail.
Marius Croetzee was driving his Land Rover through the Sabi Sand Game Reserve when he came across a Leopard that appeared to have befriended a baby Steenbok calf. For 45 minutes it played unafraid with the big cat even attempting to suckle milk from it at one point, seemingly embodying the fulfillment of the famous verse in Isaiah 11:2 “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid.”
But after a short a while, the heartwarming scene was over when the predator decided that the game was up, promptly killing and eating the newborn whose mother had run away to protect herself. The unnatural rapport, said to symbolize the dawn of an era of world peace ended just as soon as it began, and for Jews around the world the long wait for signs of global redemption continues.
