The Talmud is to blame for the global spread of illegal drugs, Iran’s second-in-command said Tuesday at an anti-drug conference co-sponsored by the United Nations.
Iranian First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi said Jews are “the main elements of the international drugs trade” and “think God has created the world so that all other nations can serve them,” the New York Times reported.
Rahimi told the audience in Tehran that Iran would “pay for anybody who can research and find one single Zionist who is [a drug] addict,” calling the absence of Zionist drug addicts “proof of their involvement in [the] drugs trade.”
Reacting to Rahimi’s comments, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said the participation of UN and European representatives in conferences held in Tehran “provides legitimacy to the Iranian ayatollah regime, which poses a danger to peace for the entire world.”
