Report: Arafat May Have Died from Poison or AIDS

Former Palestinian Authority (PA) president Yasser Arafat may have died from poisoning or AIDS, according to separate reports.
Since Arafat died in 2004, the PA has never released medical records from a hospital that treated him in Paris, leaving his cause of death unknown.
A Swiss lab that examined Arafat’s clothes found high levels of radioactive polonium, which might indicate that Arafat was poisoned, Al-Jazeera reported.
Additionally, Palestinian Media Watch reported that Ahmad Jibril, head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, told Hezbollah TV July 5 that he was informed during a meeting with current PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas that Arafat died of AIDS.
“When Mahmoud Abbas came to Damascus, I asked: ‘What was found in the [medical] inquiry of the death of brother Arafat?’ One [of Abbas’s delegation] said: ‘Frankly, the French gave us the medical report, and the cause of Arafat’s death was AIDS,'” Jibril said.
