A shooting earlier today near the Yad Mordechai kibbutz in southern Israel has the IDF searching for the suspect(s).
Sniper fire hit two vehicles, including one with a child’s car seat in the back, and a building nearby, just north of the Gaza Strip.
“Imagine the scene if the shooting was carried out again several minutes later when the owner of the vehicle and infant son were sitting in it. The IDF will not allow harm to innocent babies and Israeli citizens,” the IDF said in a statement.
Nearly a month ago, an Israeli farmer had to be rescued by IDF forces after Palestinian snipers opened fire on him from the Gaza Strip. Following that attack, the Israeli Air Force struck a group of snipers inside Gaza, reportedly killing two Islamic Jihad terrorists.
