WSJ – Las Vegas’s most political casino mogul, Sheldon Adelson, is making fundraising headlines again, donating $1 million to a relatively new conservative super PAC called Freedom PAC. The contribution was reported by the Sunlight Foundation, a nonpartisan campaign-finance watchdog group, which discovered the donation in the PAC’s federal filing report.
Mr. Adelson, the billionaire who runs Las Vegas Sands Corp., gave $21 million with his wife, Miriam Adelson, to the failed presidential bid of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Mr. Adelson recently gave $10 million to the Republicans’ presumptive nominee, Mitt Romney.
