A group of Jewish tombs in Hungary containing the bodies of nearly 250 people have been desecrated, according to a report from the MTI Hungarian News Agency.
The incident happened over the weekend, with 57 tombs being desecrated inside the Jewish cemetery of Kasposvar.
Two people are suspected of being behind the attack, which will reportedly cost $15,000 to repair.
The tombs, some of which date back to the 19th century, were damaged in what local Jewish leader Laszlo Rona said was vandalism “clearly motivated by racism”.
