The official IDF spokesperson Twitter feed announced a short while ago that a rocket fired from Gaza hit the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council in southern Israel.
According to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as of June this year, over 878 rocket hits on Israel have been identified since the end of Operation Cast Lead in 2008.
In its communiques, the IDF routinely holds the Hamas responsible for all terror activity emanating from Gaza, “The Hamas Terror organization is solely responsible for any terror activity emanating from within the Gaza Strip,” said a recent release.
