Emigration from the Jewish state is at a 40-year low, according to recently released data from Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics.
A total of 15,600 Israelis left the country in 2010, the most recent year for which such statistics are available, representing 300 fewer emigrations than Israel experienced in 2009. Additionally, about 25 percent of those who left Israel returned home within a period of several months to a year, the new statistics revealed.
Over the past decade, emigration from Israel has consistently declined while immigration to the country has remained relatively stable, according to Israel National News.
