In memory of a Hezbollah terror chief, a hacker using the name ‘Remember Imad’ has revealed dozens of Israelis’ credit card information and has threatened to publish thousands more. ‘Remember Imad’ also published photo IDs, copies of checks, and even Facebook passwords. Other details regarding the Saudi hacker were not revealed, according to Israel’s Channel 10.

This is not the first time Israel has faced a cyber attack. About two weeks ago the personal website of Yuli Edelstein,  Israel’s Minister of Diaspora Affairs was also hacked by Palestinians who identified themselves as “The Gaza Hacker Group.”  The hackers posted “Death to Israel” and other rants against Edelstein and the Jewish state on the site. Back in January, a group of Saudi Arabian hackers claimed to have hacked as many as 1 million credit card numbers from Israelis.

Imad Mughniyeh, the senior official for terror group Hezbollah for whom the recent hacker has dedicated his work, was assassinated in 2008 by a car bomb. Mughniyeh was responsible for orchestrating numerous terror attacks during the 1980’s, including  the 1994 Jewish Center Bombing in Buenos Aires which killed 85 victims. Although Israel’s Mossad had been after Mughniyeh since the 1990’s, some speculate that Assef Shawkat, President Bashar Assad of Syria’s brother-in-law, may have been behind the Hezbollah leader’s death.
