The planning and execution of an attack by al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq, which killed 27 Iraqi policemen in March 2012, has been posted in a video online.
The video, which runs for nearly 50 minutes and includes some graphic material, begins with al-Qaeda fighters training in a western Iraqi desert. The planning for the March 5th attack in Haditha, Iraq, is also shown, as commanders map out their plan to kidnap and murder Iraqi policemen.
Leaving under the cover of darkness, the al-Qaeda fighters dressed in the uniforms of Iraqi national policemen and drove towards Haditha in pickups trucks. After passing through police checkpoints with fake arrest warrants, the terrorists kidnapped a group of Iraqi policemen, tied them up and then shot them in their heads.
The attack in western Iraq included the murders of two senior Iraqi police officials, after they were kidnapped from their homes.
