JPost – UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on Israel to lift the blockade of Gaza Monday during a speech to the UN Human rights Council in Geneva where he devoted 169-words of a 1,528-word address to Gaza and the Palestinian issue, and 153 words to the bloodbath in Syria.
Various estimates put the number of dead in the Syrian civil war at between 25,000 – 33,000, half of them civilians.
