Following President Obama’s address on Tuesday in which the Iranian nuclear issue and the drive for peace between Israelis and Palestinians was discussed, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will speak to the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, and according to the Maariv newspaper, Netanyahu is expected to address in detail the red lines he believes the international community should lay out for Tehran to ensure that a nuclear weapon does not fall into the hands of the Iranian regime.

Netanyahu is expected to discuss the developments of Iranian uranium enrichment, why its necessary to ensure Iran does not attain a nuclear weapon, and why he believes clear red lines, which if crossed would invoke a military response, should be made clear to Iran by the international community.

In an exclusive interview with the Israeli business publication Globes, Netanyahu said his main concern will be ensuring the safety of his country while addressing the General Assembly in New York.

“I represent there all the citizens of Israel, and I shall take into account no consideration other than what I think is the most important thing: to ensure the security and future of the State of Israel,” he said.

Asked if he knew what he would pray for on Wednesday during the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, the Israeli leader said he did, but he wasn’t going to share.

“Certainly. But that is between a man and his maker.”
