One of the victims of this morning’s deadly rocket attack in Kiryat Malachi, Israel was pregnant, according to reports. Multiple sources told The Algemeiner that 25-year-old Mirah Scharf was late in her pregnancy when a rocket slammed into the four-story building she was in, killing her and two others and badly wounding her husband Shmuel, and three of their children, including their two year old son.
Two sources in Israel with knowledge of the matter told The Algemeiner that attempts to save the life of her unborn child were unsuccessful.
Her funeral will be held tonight in Jerusalem. Her husband and injured children will be unable to attend due to their injuries.
The Scharfs were active in the Jewish community in New Delhi, India as Chabad emissaries.
Six others were injured in the attack, including two infants, one of them eight months old.
