Reports from Jerusalem moments ago indicate that a rocket struck the Arab neighborhood of Al-Issawiya. The IDF confirmed to The Algemeiner only that a rocket “hit an open area outside of Jerusalem.”
A map circulating on Facebook shows the rocket’s path from Gaza and indicates the proximity of the neighborhood it struck to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Western Wall in Jerusalem, which lie approximately two kilometers closer to Gaza, as the crow flies. Security sources told The Algemeiner that it is absolutely possible for rockets “to reach the Al-Aqsa mosque,” and the Old City of Jerusalem.
