A recent report placed Tel Aviv second among the top-twenty friendliest places for tech start-ups in the world. The report was issued by Startup Genome, an impressive online community that has compiled data on more than 50,000 start-ups worldwide.
Silicon Valley in the United States ranked at the top of the list, followed by Tel Aviv, Los Angeles, Seattle, New York City, Boston, and then London.
Additional information in the report describes Tel Aviv-based startup entrepreneurs as being on average 36.16 years old (as opposed to 34.12 in Silicon Valley) with 91% of them men (as opposed to 90% in Silicon Valley).
Israel Hayom reports that according to the IVC Research Center there are more than 1,000 high-tech companies in Tel Aviv employing more than 30,000 workers.
