WSJ – CAIRO — Egypt’s opposition on Sunday called for more protests against President Mohammed Morsi, seeking to keep up the momentum of its two-week long street campaign even after the Egyptian leader withdrew part of a decree that awarded him near-absolute power.
The call for more demonstrations happened after Mr. Morsi held firm on holding a referendum this coming Saturday on a divisive proposed constitution, skirting a key demand of Mr. Morsi’s opponents, whose campaign has gridlocked Egyptian politics.
