My mother is fond of saying that with one body, you can’t be everywhere. And although in today’s cyber-reality, as a writer you pretty much can (be in multiple places, that is), contractual arrangements prevent me from doing so. I have accepted a position as editor of Blueprint Jewish Event Guide, and will be covering personalities, trends, arts, culture and events with a focus on the single life. With three publications covering New York, Los Angeles, and Jerusalem, I’ll be busy, and delighted to work with Blueprint’s staff in writing and editing fresh, smart, funny and thought-provoking stories that speak to what it means to be single, young and Jewish in 2013. Please visit the sites, nybluebrint.com, losangelesblueprint.com, and jerusalemblueprint.com – whether you are young, Jewish and single or just young at heart, Jewish-friendly, or single-friendly; we are excited to welcome you.
It has been a pleasure contributing to The Algemeiner under the leadership of Dovid Efune, who has spearheaded the rapid growth of this up-and-coming source of U.S. political and Israel news. I will continue to write about U.S. politics and Mideast affairs with a focus on Israel and courageous dissidents and allies of Israel in the Muslim world on my blog, www.heatherrobinson.net, which will be upgraded soon. I will also continue my career as a pundit on Israel and Mideast affairs by contributing to broadcast and print news publications across the political spectrum, and am available for speaking engagements about my areas of expertise. I hope you’ll visit my blog and follow me on Twitter at HE_Robinson.
Thank you to my readers and commenters. Scrutiny of the status quo (both in government and media), dialogue, and discussion are the lifeblood of our democracy. It is an honor to be catalyst and reporter, but I’m neither without a readership and so, whether we agree or disagree, thank you, and don’t be strangers.
