A famous Lebanese beauty has reportedly had to deny a close connection to Hezbollah terror chief Hassan Nasrallah after media reports said that she had been married to him while an adolescent.

Haifa Wehbe, a Lebanese sex-symbol criticized media outlets that carried the alleged rumor, saying: “Next time they will make me marry Obama,” as quoted by the official website of the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation.

Several local news media outlets referenced an interview Haifa gave to the Voice of Russia radio station in which she purportedly said that she was married to Nasrallah when she was an adolescent.

Haifa has made no secret of her admiration for Nasrallah. Following the 2006 Lebanon War she was quoted as saying, “It’s a land that has people to defend it … and therefore Nasrallah had a big role … in defending Lebanon’s honor and border.”

In a 2009 interview she spoke glowingly of Nasrallah. “His very high wisdom. His dignified way of dealing with all the situations that were bloody, etc,” she says in response to a question as to who she most admires and why. “The thing that I like most about him, this charisma in his dialogue, this strong way that convinces me. He’s very convincing and wise. His wisdom is very… and of course he is a model man.”
