The “interest” in controversial billboards placed in New York train stations by American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) which falsely accuse Israel of practicing apartheid is proving that “the American public is ready to accept the Palestinian narrative,” the organization has claimed in an email to supporters.
Pointing to the media coverage surrounding the billboard, which has been placed in 25 Metro-North train stations, the organization wrote “The Time is Now! The Momentum is Here!” And urged its supporters to not “let these Zionists and Islamophobes win!”
Despite AMP’s claims, recent polls show American support for Israel is at a 22-year high.
The Anti Defamation League recently slammed the organization for the campaign, saying it “ignores the complicated nature of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and is part of the campaign to delegitimize and demonize the Jewish state.” The ADL was also critical of AMP for launching the campaign on the first day of Passover.
