Jerusalem Post – Finance Minister and Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid has issued public backing for the Women of the Wall group, it emerged on Thursday, in the highest-profile support the activists have received from a cabinet minister to date.
Speaking at a conference of the Jewish Federation of New York in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, which was closed to the press, Lapid said that no one could “claim ownership over God.”
