Sholom Lipskar
Aleph Institute, The Shul
As founder of the Aleph Institute, Rabbi Lipskar has helped to create and implement a host of programs over more than two decades. His non-denominational goodwill endeavors have helped both Jews and non-Jews alike with a variety of social issues such as rehabilitation programs and professional assistance. In 2012 the organization was credited by Jacob Ostreicher, an Orthodox Jew being held prisoner in Bolivia, with helping gain his release. Aleph also assists with the spiritual needs of Jews serving in the U.S. Armed Forces by providing Jewish books as well as moral and spiritual support. Aleph also distributes special holiday packages to soldiers for Jewish holidays to Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine bases.
