Fashion designer John Galliano’s comeback continues. The once-shamed head of the House of Dior is planning to teach a master class on “emotion” at Parsons School of Design in Manhattan over four days next month, The  New York Daily News reports.

Galliano was at the top of the fashion world when in 2011 he was caught on camera making anti-Semitic comments. The fallout was quick. He was fired from Dior and fined by a Paris court.

In recent months he has attempted a comeback, working in famed designer Oscar de la Renta’s studio in Manhattan, and attending New York Fashion week in February.

Some students at Parsons seem open to the idea of having Galliano as a teacher, and take no issue with his recently checkered past. “We all say stupid s— while drunk. We’ve all made Jew jokes,” senior fashion student Corinne Hay, 24, who is not Jewish and said she plans to take the workshop, told the Daily News.

“I love Dior. Some of his collections there are the reasons why I came to Parsons. Everything he did there was so amazing. No living designer can touch him. Maybe Karl Lagerfeld,” she added.

“It’ll be really avant garde,” said student Devin Hershey, 21. “Like he could take a button and explore it in 20 different ways.”

But others expressed their concerns to the Daily News. “I feel he has a lot to teach. But the New School has such a history with Jewish studies and Jewish professors, it’s a little contradictory. I don’t know what went on when administrators were discussing it,” said Amanda Law, 20, and a junior.

“But a lot of students will look past that and just see his body of work.”
